Morris Porter Jr. was involved in an accidental shooting Tuesday, July 27. After already going through two lengthy surgeries (and possibly more to follow), he is in critical, but stable condition. He is at University Hospital in San Antonio. Wayne Wilsher is hopeful he will begin cancer treatment  next week in Kerrville. Stephanie Domke received a good report on her recent endoscopy, no cancer. A surgery date to permanently remove the hiatal hernia will soon be discussed with her doctor. Brandon Miller, son of Earl & Iris, is having major back surgery Wednesday, July 28. Please pray it brings him some relief. Mike Reed, son of Jewel Dean, is having aortic valve replacement surgery this Thursday, July 29, in Houston. Please pray for success. Nattie called to tell us that her daughter’s, Kitty Miller, surgery went well. She also wanted to let us know that two of her granddaughters, Brittany Wright and Dana Miller were baptized this past Sunday at the church in Andrews. Brittany & Dana are the children of Randy & Kitty Miller. Nellie Rogers, wife of Charlie, is in Methodist Hospital, room 834 B. After being taken to STRMC with a kidney stone she worsened and was transferred to Methodist Hospital due to possible bleeding in the brain. Please be in prayer. Kittie Mann requests prayers for her brother-in-law, Rick Freeman. He is dealing with a number of health concerns.   Charles & Bettie Riley request prayers for Carolyn Henserling & her family. She is in the last stages of cancer. We express our sympathy to Christine Montgomery & family at the loss of her sister, Christal Halpin. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 30, 3 PM, at the Baptist Temple in Victoria. __________________________  We also express our sympathy to the family of C.D. (Dois) Pruett Sr. He passed away Monday, July 26. The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 29, 10 AM, at the Fredericksburg church of Christ, followed by a visitation here at Hurley’s, 2:30—4 PM. Congratulations to Mike & Katherine Norwood on the birth of a grandson. Case Michael Tolbert was born Wednesday, July 21. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 in. long. Proud parents are Quinn & Jennifer Tolbert. Welcoming Case home will be big brother, Cy. Everyone is doing just fine.
