Thinking influences actions. What you allow into your mind influences daily moral choices.
The person
with a mind ocupied on the corrupt will live an impure life. The person with a mind that dwells on and obeys the holy scriptures
is dedicated to a life of holiness.
"I have
hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you" (Psalm 119:11, NIV).
"The mind
of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace, because the sinful mind is hostile to God.
It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so" (Romans 8:6-7, NIV).
"Therefore,
I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--which is
your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:1-2, NIV).
"Finally,
brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent and praiseworthy--think about such things"
(Philippians 4:8, NIV).
